Dr. Thompson has her PsyD in clinical psychology, working over six years as a CEO, a licensed and certified clinical psychologist specializing in psychotherapy for anxiety, sports psychology, depression, and trauma-related disorders. She also provides treatment for emotion dysregulation more generally. Dr. T focuses on evidence-based cognitive and behavioral treatments, tailored to each individual, within a collaborative and compassionate environment. She has significant experience with traditional cognitive behavioral treatments including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure Therapy as well as contemporary approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Dr. T is a published author and speaker, who helps in the private and pubIic sectors. Dr. T has a gift for making complex psychological concepts accessible and actionable so that clients achieve sustainable change. She inspires over l5,000 people weekIy through her blog, social media platform, and signature courses.

Dr. T has also founded a non-profit called the Black Voice Project, where she continues to advocate for those in her community in the Washington D.C. area.

Dr. T is a proud mother of four beautiful children, and with her origins in the projects of Washington, D.C. and Landover, Maryland, the fact that she has overcome the statistics and the odds, by hailing as a County Council political candidate and member of the congressional record shows her resilience and efforts to doing the work and helping others do it as well.
