Micheal L. McGee is a management professional, educator, and higher education leader with more than 20 years of experience in human services and organizational leadership. He currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at Bowie State University, where he teaches undergraduate psychology courses, supervises research, advises students, and takes part in curriculum development and academic committees. Micheal is also pursuing a doctorate in Educational Leadership with a focus on higher education and counseling.
Previously, he served as President of the Graduate Student Association at Bowie State University (2020–2023), representing students at the university and system-wide levels while overseeing governance, budgeting, and institutional collaboration. His executive leadership experience includes serving as Executive Director at United Cerebral Palsy of Maryland and as Director of Residential Services at EPIC, where he managed multimillion-dollar budgets, led large interdisciplinary teams, and ensured regulatory compliance.
Micheal holds a B.S. in Psychology, an M.A. in Counseling Psychology, and is a doctoral candidate in Educational Leadership. His research centers on trauma, maternal stress, fetal psychological development, and culturally responsive mental health interventions. He has delivered presentations across the country and abroad, earning various accolades such as being inducted into the White House HBCU Scholars Recognition Initiative in 2021, named an American Psychological Association Student Researcher of Color in 2022, awarded the Maryland Counseling Association Presidential Certificate of Merit in 2023, and receiving several graduate leadership and research awards.
