Dr. Billina Shaw is the Medical Director for the Behavioral Health Division of the Prince George’s County Health Department. She is a triple board certified physician in the specialties of general adult psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, and addiction medicine. Dr. Shaw received a B.A. from Yale University with distinction in her major of psychology before receiving her M.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. She completed her psychiatry residency and child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at the University of Maryland/Sheppard Pratt program in Baltimore, Maryland. She later joined the faculty of the University of Maryland School of Medicine Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry before coming to the Health Department. Finally, Dr. Shaw is also an alumnus of the Bloomberg Fellowship at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in the area of Addiction and Overdose where she received a Master’s Degree in Public Health.
